A number of Colonial League players are getting it done on the next level. With Dylan Evans playing at Akron with 15 tackles through three games and Andrew Terlingo getting playing time at Penn State in a reserve roll against UMass, there is a lot to be proud of.

Week 5 separated the Top-Cats from the rest of the pack that features four teams with a 4-1 record. Northwestern remains as the lone undefeated team as they downed Saucon Valley. Northern Lehigh won the most exciting game of the night in beating Palisades. Salisbury continued their revival with a win over Pen Argyl. This just left Palmerton and Southern Lehigh who won big in their games.
Saturday's contest saw aerial assault of Catasauqua keep Wilson without a win thus far in 2014. ***UPDATED STATS INCLUDED ***
Time for the biggest showdown of the 2014 season thus far. The surprise team of the season, Saucon Valley (4-0), will travel to New Tripoli to face the league favorite Northwestern (4-0). Another showdown, Palisades (3-1) will travel north to Slatington to face Northern Lehigh (3-1) with not only the chance to stay in the hunt for the league title, but the chance for an inside track to the post-season dance. Palmerton (3-1) looks to rebound against Notre Dame (0-4). Salisbury (2-2) has a chance to make great strides in turning the program around as they face Pen Argyl (0-4). Southern Lehigh (3-1) hosts Bangor (0-4). In Saturday's game, Wilson (0-4) will try to break their long losing streak in hosting Catasauqua (1-3). Week Four in the books and there is a log jam behind the two undefeated teams who meet this week (week 5). Palisades rallied for a dramatic win over Palmerton. Salisbury flexed it's new found muscle in reaching .500 this early in the season for the first time in a long time. Northern Lehigh quietly and methodically gets its third win of the year. Southern Lehigh, Saucon Valley, and Northwestern each grab double digit wins. Each game received some type of media write-up. See them by clicking "read more" Will there be more separation between the contenders and pretenders, or will the standings become a muddled mess. To start, Salisbury (1-2) visits Bangor (1-2), Wilson (0-3) travels to undefeated Northwestern (3-0), Catasauqua (1-2) looks to unseat Saucon Valley (3-0), and Notre Dame GP (0-3) looks for their first win against host Northern Lehigh (2-1). A team in uncharted territory, Pen Argyl (0-3) visits Center Valley to challenge Southern Lehigh (2-1). The big game of the week has surprise Palmerton (3-0) squaring off against Palisades (2-1) in Kintnersville. The Blue Bombers are playing well and Palisades responded from a tough loss to Southern Lehigh in the opener by tearing off two straight wins. One would think that Week three should separate the teams between those who are contenders and who are not. Given the way things have gone thus far, such separation may not happen. Given a "perfect storm", we could see a mess of things in the standings by the conclusion of Saturday's games. Palisades (1-1) travels to Catasauqua (1-1) in a rematch of last seasons District XI AA Championship game. In a battle of upstarts, Bangor (1-1) visits Palmerton (2-0). One team will notch their first win as Salisbury (0-2) visits Notre Dame GP (0-2).

Week 2 is in the books and Northwestern continues to roll. Their win over Bangor keeps them on top of the standings. Saucon Valley lit up the scoreboard again for their second straight win of the season. Palmerton came from behind to top Pen Argyl. Wilson had a fourth quarter lead before losing to Southern Lehigh, while Palisades and Catasauqua notch their first wins.
